Official Groups

They have been randomly generated, and they are as follows. Once again, I want to aver that I assigned a number to each member and then randomized the sequence. I had no selective preference about the order or placement of anyone. If any of you are not amenable to your position, please indicate and we can work something out.

Group 1:
Enigma Machinist
Vincent
Jan Wan 4t
Approx. mixtape due date: APRIL 15th (it is a tall tall order, but you are up to it)

Group 2:
Gillz
Captain Admiral
Chaucer Arafat
Due Date: May 15th--how 'bout our best fertility tracks? Rites of Spring and such?

Group 3:
Shamus
Isopraxis
Teacher of Fruit
Due Date: June 15th--some emancipation tracks perhaps?

Group 4:
Sweetface
Ibid
Wajok Weiß
Rice
Due Date: July 15th--break out the John Philip Souza!

Ignore my stupid quips. But lets try to have mixes postmarked by the ides of each month. I will assemble the addresses and send each of you an email so that you might have a destination for your mixtapes.

Let me apologize in advance for this...How about an Easter themed mixtape? Soundgarden's "Jesus Christ Pose", Mindy Smith's "Come to Jesus", anything by Amps for Christ, "The Ballad of John and Yoko" (Christ, you know it ain't easy), ...

Having just re-read the above, I have come to the conclusion that it was much funnier in my head. But for the sake of displaying my lack of good taste mixed with my caffeine-amped sleep deprevation, I'll leave it. You may all take cheap shots at me now.

i'll probably go cliché and make a springtime lovesong compilation. hopefully i'll make it worth it for you with some killer packaging and so forth, though.

some Ministry, perchance?

I dont' think your randomizer is very random.
Unless it is very very smart randomizer...

Grifter said...

well dammit troy..i gave you the link to investigate the randmoizer yourself.

is is "very very smart randomizer"

it just happened to order the numbers of a pair of roomies.

Chaucer:

Indeed. "Jesus Built My Hotrod". How could I forget?

Vincent said...

i agree with troy. how random is it that he and i live in the same apartment??? haha. actually it's better that way. we've been helping each other conceptualize and construct our tentative mixes. since we have similar collections and taste to draw on, it's been good.

p.s. capt. admiral, how 'bout some jesus and mary chain???

I think it was also a very smart randomizer, because I think it knew that I won't know my new address until later this week, (crosses fingers). This will help Vincent get his mix to me. We are hoping not to have any crossovers.

of the thousands of random number sequence generators I have dealt with in my lifespan, this one really is top-drawer.

I'll say. I don't go until just after my birthday which means a) I'll have more money for postage, b) I'll be older and wiser in compiling my mix and c) I get to have an ice cream cake. And I get to watch Inner Space tomorrow night. All thanks to the Randomizer.

God bless the randomizer.

I thought about a totally randomized mix.
But then I don't trust itune's shuffle system. I keep getting the same friggin sets of songs and I'm starting to think that Fred has purchased some influence with the MCP.

So instead I've decided to utilize an intersective strategy of listening to every track in my collection after huffing ether to access the synthestic place where sound crosses over into color. That way I can tell if the song is red, blue, green . . . summer, winter, spring or that other season. From there I'll use the dicrotic principle of personality color theory to group and juxtapose these songs according to their exraversiveness, intruthition, degree of difficulty and concomitant use of the ultimate woodwind instrument: the bassoon.

For example: Public Enemy's 'Bring the Noise' is a song of definite darker color, season: militautumn. No Bassoon.

these aren't the tapes you're looking for...

I'm more concerned that Master Control Program is in charge of my shuffle. That big glowy bastard!

Trrrrrrroooooooooooooonnnnnnnnn!

I must contact my user... He will make this a free system again!

I can't figure out why no one commented on the picture of the pandas eating the unicorn. I made my self sick with giggles.

isopraxis said...

I originally thought the pandas were some auspicious find that Giuseppi had up his sleeve. He's a bit of a prince midas when it comes to uncovering gold. . .

I love the pandas: the whole idea had my mind fixated on doing a series of unicorn prints in a similar mind: the most magical of creatures stuck in traps, hunted, skinned, fried-up with onions, made into sausage.

It is an excellent illustration and an excellent find.
I would love to see some econimic text with this for it's cover. . . the Federal budget. . .the ominous reports of trade deficit and costs of war.

What illustrates the principle of scarcity and unsustainability more than a friggin panda family feasting upon a unicorn?

That, Oh my best brother, is a gem of truth.

Grifter said...

I would love to see the "Sparrow's Unicorn Cycles."

And I wish the illustration was mine. I yoinked it from an illustrator friend of mine. He's from Shaanxi, so it probably has some special significance for him.

it is a great drawing. i am a fan of anything unicorn...but why are there two magical horns?

Jaren Watson said...

Ibid, you ninny. The other horn is from another freshly ravaged 'corn. Akin to scalpin' and such.
