...that interest has been sagging in the Guild, probably due to the time sanctions that each of us encounter in our day-to-day. Understandable. I think that it would be good though to assess who is interested in continuing with this. I have really enjoyed getting mixes and I am grateful to the people who faithfully send me free music. When people miss a month, I can empathize. I will send out an email along these lines too, in an effort to trim any tired or otherwise over-occupied limbs. I have also taken the liberty of re-drawing the rotation for early 2008. My guidance on this was to spread out members who not only faithfully send out mixes, but who send out mixes in the months they are designated. That should ensure at least a consistent supply of trax. Look below (or on the sidebar) to find your month, and if you're disgruntled, let's step aside into the comments section.
Enjoi.

Chaucer, you know I'm down. I will apologize for not making with the comments lately. This exercise in music swapping is made much better with feedback and dialogue, neither of which I have been active in. I'll do it better next time around. I'm looking forward to round three. Wheee!
I am all set to begin burning my new mix!
But it can wait till march. I am still in.
Yeah, March sounds great to me, too. And Cap'n, I have also been lax in the commenting sections on here and will make amends as well. The cds I've received have gone above and beyond any initial expectations, and in my current financial and time restraints....I can't comment with enough gratitude or explain just how excited I get for monthly packages of new stuff to listen to.
Count me in.
joe... my wallet is bleak and so is my computer's will to live. I'm usually good for a wholesome meal of mickstape, but just this time around can I upload the files? Next round will more than make up for it, je promit.
[] yes [] no
eiryn--I tried to check yes on the box but i am not that html savvy.
go for it. i think that may be the first time that someone has asked my permission.
Can I express my enthusiasm?
ENTHUSIAM!!!!!
Eiryn, what be this method of uploading that you speaketh? The burner on my p.o.s. laptop refuses to speak to me anymore and I've had quite enough of it as well while we're at it. I'm considering sneaking into a friend's house in the middle hours of the morning and using his stuff, but if there's a way to merely "upload" my mix.........do I need a special key for this? A majickal word or staff or other such trunk?
A more fitting question would be: Eiryn--where's your mix? All the enthusiasm got me excited.
Gillz: I think that opening a free You Send It account would be a simple way of archiving your mix in a zip file, and the having it hosted free for 60 days (I think?). That is one option.
I'm ready for the new mixablia! My ears are burning with de-zaire! 2008 can be my year of responsibility and accountability. Bring this!
Okay, if Eiryn does it, and it works, I'm going to consider it. Either way, my March mix is going to be kickass. I just don't know what's going in it yet. I'm hoping songs will come to me in dreams, carrying streamers and playing trombones. It's going to be transcendental.
My March mix is done. I'm just waiting until March to send it. So there.
oh joey... well, as it was to be a tag team mix... I'm kind of waiting on the tag of my team. But soon, February still runneth forth.
oh gilly... joe-g's got a good one. My weapon of choice will be Rapidshare though. That's how I roll, all the freedoms...sometimes it hurts so badly even the "laptop"al extension of my body can feel it. Which has happened. Which is why I'm late on the mix. Which is why I'm saving all my nickels for a mac.
vive fevrier!
